Lying to pad the numbers

Remember that kid who tried to steal a gun from a gun show and was stopped by people at the show? That apparently counts as gun violence.

If a cop uses a gun against a felonious attacker, that is “gun violence”. Apparently, if I trip and fall, and accidently run into someone in the process, hurting them, and I happen to be carrying a gun at the time, THAT is “gun violence” too. Lobbying for protection of the second amendment is “gun violence” to many on the left. If you’re still breathing, that fact alone is “gun violence” to some.

To hell with them. We tend to waste our time paying too much attention to the crazies. That would fit their definition of “violence” being that our time and energy is being diverted to deal with people and actions which get in the way of living our lives unmolested.

“people and actions which get in the way of living our lives unmolested.”

And those “people” are the liberals.

It gets them another red dot on their map of incidents.. which from the looks of it seem to be mostly concentrated in places like LA, Chicago, and New York.

Whatever they’re doing to curb gun violence clearly isn’t working.

My wife, who came from a family where family arguments were conducted by not talking at all to the family member with whom you were angry, used to tell me to stop “yelling” at her whenever we had a disagreement. I was confused by this, because in my family asking my brother to pass the butter at dinner was often conducted at full volume, and arguments with my siblings involved wrestling with loud screaming, at a minimum.

Likewise, gun violence is a matter of perception. If one truly believes that a mechanical device has the power to cause its owner to become a blood crazed mass murderer, as antigunners have stated again and again, then it is only logical that gun violence is anything that goes wrong when a gun is owned by a participant in the event.

As for my wife and I, after a decade of blissfully silent non-arguments, she overcame her upbringing and would explain her side of a disagreement. It was wonderful while it lasted, I guess.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
