Booby Trap Bras

A sports bra that can hold a knife. I think they need one that holds a gun. From this news story:

A year ago, mother-of-two Jennifer Cutrona was off running on her favorite trail near her home in Texas earbuds in and her mind focused on an upcoming marathon when a man suddenly leapt out from the woods and tried to grab her.

I got away from the guy, but was extremely upset at how oblivious I had been to this possibility, Cutrona told FoxNews.com. I did not want to listen to anyone who would try to scare me from being free to run my favorite spots.

The incident inspired Cutrona to think about the need for women to be fully prepared, even when dressed down for a run. Soon after, Booby Trap Bras was born a line of sports bras made with self-defense in mind.

Dont bring a knife to a kidnapping.

Step one – lose the earbuds. Situational awareness. Say Hi to the folks on the path. Some might even say Hi back. Okay, maybe one in twenty. The rest have th4e earbuds in.

In addition to not using the earbuds, and paying the hell attention to what is going on around, a nice little firearm would be a good running companion…even a Ruger LCP.

Although I prefer something a bit stronger like a Glock G30.

    Surprised no one mentioned this:

Holsters that attach to the middle of a bra. There are videos on the net thing. Suitable for *ahem*modestly sized handguns-a 1911 is probably right out.

There are bra (gun) holsters, and when I look at all of them, and consider where the muzzle ends up pointing, especially with the sort of movement that jogging would give it…..just no.

Actually I kinda like that knife holster, if only that sort of knife was legal here…..

Awesome. I knew these burgeoning Man-Boobs would come in handy! Now, all I need to obtain is some form of weapon.

Ruth, plus there’s “sweat” thing to consider.

A knife is better than nothing.

    Old NFO:
Some years back, Ayoob had a story about a Brazilian jogger who used a knife to kill her attacker. She was some sort of martial artist, but got grabbed from behind by a large male, IIRC.

  11. Ruth Says:

rickn8or: yup, definetly another point, do you really want to be reaching for your gun cause the bad guy just tried to assault you and discover that its covered in sweat gunk? ESPECIALLY considering where the muzzle on all those bra holsters end up pointing?

  12. rickn8or Says:

Ruth, back when I was still able to run, my major frustration was that I could never find a good way to carry even something as light as a P-3AT without having it bounce around or end the run without it bathed in sweat. You know, just having to clean, dry and oil it as one more post-run chore.

Never thought much about what it would be like to have to grab and control it with sweaty hands.

Everyone at the TSA is furiously and excitedly forwarding this article to everyone else.

Pretty girls need to be double and triple groped, or the terrorists win.

Seems like a pretty awkward place to keep a self-defense knife, not to mention the possibility accidentally sticking yourself with your own weapon.

It’s funny; in California a concealed, fixed-blade knife is a worse crime than a concealed firearm. It’s almost always a felony, whereas a first-offense, not-in-a-school-zone, not-commiting-crimes concealed firearm is usually a misdemeanor resulting in a fine.

I would think a forearm sheath would be more conducive to use. If you are running, your arms are free.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
