Of course, the for profit training is also done by individuals. The larger issue, I think, is that the state actually makes money on the handgun carry program, a rarity for government. And that is why, recently, the lowered the fees.

The only part I disagree with is the “training” portion. Not of gun handling, but the LAW. As a former CHL instructor, I know many people have STRANGE ideas about when you can use deadly force. EX: can you shoot someone that calls you a nigger? A spic? Can you shoot someone you find on your property trespassing? The LAW is much more complex than a 1911. Now if the SCHOOLS did their job, such training would not be necessary. But you know how that ends.

Oh, and I just noticed in the background behind the state police (authority over all our ability to even breath) chief is that squishy worm Briggs of Knoxville. I asked him to co-sponsor the bill and he said he couldn’t because somebody might amend it and make him look bad. What a coward.

Idaho gets it, Why cant Tennessee? COuld it be that many in office that people elect are RINO’s? Excluding Duncan, it seems that all the others are subserviant to Obama.
