This reminds me of another windfall that has its negative side, namely, winning a big lottery. Everyone assumes that if they win a $30 million lottery then all their problems will be solved. Yet, it is not hard at all to find many lottery winners whose lives were completely ruined by their so-called windfall. They actually curse the day they won and wish they could go back to what they had before.
