So, it’s a thing again. For Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself)

The media is welcoming the fact the Democrats spent a few minutes during their debate discussing who wanted to ban guns and civil liberties more. During lunch today with some guys from LuckyGunner, we discussed this very thing. In the last few elections, the talk from the dems was “we respect your second amendment rights but . . .” and now, they seem to be embracing gun control. I pondered if it was because big money guys like Bloomberg had them convinced it was a popular thing or they were just whoring for the money.

At least they’re discussing it openly. Should make for an interesting election.

    Speaking of saying things openly; try asking some who voter for Omaba in ’08 what they thought, at that time, Obama meant by “Fundamental Transformation of America” and see if you can get an answer. I haven’t gotten one yet.

    Point being; Dem candidates will say things openly and few will ever hear their words, much less ponder their meaning, and then people will go out and vote for them. My mother voted for O twice, has the O-Family photos on her fridge, attends local Dem Party meetings, and she “never heard” him say “Fundamental Transformation”.

    We deal not with flesh and blood, but with Principalities and corruption in high places…

    Yes, fools, continue to be open with your stupid ideas.

    I honestly think the Stupids will REALLY have to screw this one up to lose it.

    Prior to the election in ’08 I had an old friend challenge my claim that Obama was anti-gun. His “proof” was that Obama said he supported the Second Amendment. I sent him a list of about 20 or 30 different soundbites and references to votes he made in which he either voted to ban or said he would ban guns of various types. My friend went silent about Obama not being anti-gun and voted for him twice.

    Obama assured us, no, tried to assure us, saying, “I don’t want to take your shotgun, I don’t want to take your rifle”. But NOW, he is praising England and Australia where guns were TAKEN.

    Joe, ask your friend if supposed Constitutional law instructor, Obama, supports “the equal protection of the laws” in the 14th Amendment, you know, one of the two which overturned SCOTUS Dred Scott, to end slavery. If he says yes, then ask him if Obama will, instead of EXEMPTING himself and other government officials and agents in any more of his proposed gun control laws, support equality and be subjected to the same laws he wants for us? I suspect you will get silence again.

    >they seem to be embracing gun control.

    That’s because the current republican slate is a joke.

    Bernie comes off as the most moderate, he seems to scream “I’d love to grab guns with the rest of you, but I have voters home in Vermont and I like being a Senator just in case this president gig doesn’t work out.”

  6. Joe Huffman Says:

    @Ron W,

    I haven’t seen him in several years and don’t really want to see him again. In part because I took his wife’s side when she divorced him. And she is just as much nuts as he is and I’m not going to be seeking out her company either.

    @Joe Huffman,

    They sound like “useful idiots” as Communist dictator Lenin said of those who were his followers, so you’re probably right in your disassociation decision from these Obamatrons.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
