They told me flashlights would give away my position
And they were right:
When deputies arrived, the 70-year old homeowner said he woke up to someone shining a light in his bedroom window. He then observed a man standing outside, who then broke the bedroom window and started to climb inside.
At that point the homeowner told officers he grabbed a pistol and fired it at the suspect causing the man to fall back. The suspect then ran to a dark colored vehicle, got in the driver’s seat and sped off.

That didn’t end the way I expected. I thought for sure the homeowner would be up on charges for shooting at a police officer.
