“journalism”
So, Brian Williams and NBC first lied about being shot down in Iraq after the event allegedly happened. Then he lied about it on Letterman. And he recently lied about it again. And was finally called out. Lying about being shot at in a war zone is apparently what the media and democrats (but I repeat myself) like to do. Hillary did it. To me, this brings a few things to mind:
Williams was there with a news crew. And no one on the news crew said “hey, this story is bullshit”. It went all the way through their layers of editorial oversight, fact-checking, and professional standards. Even though it was bullshit.
And, of all the lies NBC and Brian Williams have told while doing the “news”, this is the one that actually is a scandal?

Well we’ll take ’em where we can get ’em. It is interesting; what gets national attention and what doesn’t, and how and why that happens would be a study in and of itself.
Maybe the leftist media have this as one way of putting “out to pasture” someone they’re tired of. Support someone’s lying, encourage it even, until they’ve served their purposes, then expose them, shuffle them away and start over with a fresh face. Contracts won’t matter in that case. It’s how organized crime and dictatorships work, and so it makes sense that the left media would do it. Just thinking aloud here.

They will circle the wagons around him, give him some sort of an achievement award, like Dan Rather, and gently show him the door.
He will not be lampooned, unlike Lou Dobbs.

I consider the leftist media to be America’s worse enemy. Without their constant support, the dem-commie’s anti-Constitution crusade would dry up and fade away. That plus their endless inflaming of racial division is criminal. All of that and much, much more due to their endless LIES.
I wonder when/if anyone will ever make it clear to them that “freedom of the press” is NOT “freedom to lie.”

Just heard report on radio news talk program this morning that even Tom Brokaw said Brian Williams should be fired. And Hillary Clinton concocted a similar story. What kind of electorate do we have when she is anything but a joke as a presidential candidate, especially if Williams goes down as he should???

I read that Williams also talked about when he was in SoCal and was invited to Naval Fighter Weapons School as a guest of the Navy.
When the pilot of his F-14 flew through the jet wash of a class-mate, it them into a flat spin over the pacific. He was nearly killed when he ejected and struck the canopy.
