When attending a gun rights rally, it’s important to break gun laws

Is that a SB-15 pistol with a VFG on it? ATF says it’s a no go despite a couple of courts ruling against them.

Kind of unfortunate for him to be in a publicized pic like that. If the ATF gets a hard-on for him, he could have some troubles coming.

  2. Sebastian Says:

He has nothing to worry about. He’s nullified the law.

  3. Matthew Carberry Says:

But, but, “No compromise!” “What part of ‘Shall Not Be Infringed…’?!” Molon Labe!!!!!!!!!leventy!!!!!!!!!

  4. phacops Says:

    I think he’s ok… that’s not a vertical grip – it’s a tactical light for when he’s running at night 🙂

  5. Mr Evilwrench Says:

Now don’t get in such a hurry. Did anyone check his paperwork? Has he greased the right palms? That may make the difference.

  6. Bram Says:

If the courts have ruled against it, then he isn’t breaking a law.

He may be breaking an ATF regulation, which unfortunately, isn’t much different any more.

  7. M Gallo Says:

Only an AOW if the overall length is less than 26″ which that gun looks to be. Just wanted to clarify that the OAL comes into play for the VFG issue.

  8. Gun Blobber Says:

For all we know, the guy has a tax stamp for it.

  9. Sigivald Says:

It ain’t illegal if he has a tax stamp.

It’s also not illegal if the Court says it ain’t.

The Courts decide the law; the ATF disagrees and it’s wrong.

(This is little comfort if the ATF prosecutes you anyway, at least in the short term until you can point out to the Judge that another Court said you’re not doing anything wrong.)

If I was him and had no tax stamp for an SBR, I’d be much more worried about the Stabilizing Brace attached to a rig obviously intended for use from the shoulder.

That’s just asking for an “intended or designed” interpretation absolutely in accordance with the law, and not in his favor.

  10. Lyle Says:

Second amendment says it’s legal. We have outlaw legislators and a few outlaw cops that say otherwise, so we have a problem. What’s new?

  11. M Gallo Says:

Gents, a pistol with a VFG needs an AOW stamp not an SBR stamp. Well, unless he “redesigns” the brace by walking around with it shouldered, I suppose. Now I am confused…

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
