A magnet for trouble

George Zimmerman arrested on aggravated assault charges.

Seem to have it out for this guy. I wonder if it’s bogus like last time.

Well, at least now the Black Panthers know he won’t have any guns for the foreseeable future.

  2. Kristophr Says:

Probably a combination of prosecutors with a hard on for him, and the fact that he is a 20-something dumbass.

He needs to move to a deep red state, and lay low for a few decades.

  3. Jethro Says:

It’s annoying how this will be used as evidence of his guilt over Martin when it could just be the case that natural remorse for taking a life combined with some PTSD and the stress of the media trying to make him Public Enemy #1 have thoroughly broken the man.

  4. JKB Says:

Let’s see, the alleged assault (the throwing of a wine bottle) came to light some days later when the girlfriend was pulled over for a traffic violation. I wonder how that comes up in the conversation of a traffic stop?

What George needs is better taste in women.

  5. mariner Says:

What some city in Florida needs is better cops and prosecutors.

  6. divemedic Says:

There are people who want to see him in jail no matter what. There are some cops and prosecutors who feel that way. They all want to be the guy that finally “got” Zimmerman. He is now an enemy of the state. For all intents and purposes, his life is over.

This is why I will NEVER get involved in the affairs of others, I don’t care if I hear screams and see a guy wearing a hockey mask and carrying a bloody machete come out of my neighbor’s house. It is none of my business and I am not calling 911, lest I become a “racist vigilante” in the eyes of the press.

George, there’s a tarantula on my face….do something!!

  8. Deaf Smith Says:

Looks like the same old charge they didn’t charge him for a while ago.

  9. JTC Says:

When the inevitable happens to GZ, will there be endless depictions of this unarmed minority waif, decrying his being profiled and lynched at the hands of vigilantes?

Or will there be toasts and congratulations among “journalists”, entertainers, rabble-rousers and agitators, smug in the knowledge of their success obtaining justice for young Trayvon…and blind to their complicity to murder?

@JKB –What George needs is better taste in women

I’ve had some fine tastin’ women.
    They can still be bitches.

He needs to change states and legally change his name. Should also hit the gym and lose some weight, so his face looks different.

  12. JTC Says:

Not getting the “change states” thing. Won’t find a redder one right now, and “we” literally wrote the book on CCW and SYG.

And he can’t hide from the group I mentioned upthread without crossing a national border; maybe not even then.

Nor, apparently, can he hide from his own dumbassery. That’s true of many of us, but most don’t have a spotlight on our every move and a “price” on our heads.

    He is fucked.

  13. Krisophr Says:

    JTC:

I’m from Wyoming. Florida is a blue state, as far as we are concerned.

  14. JTC Says:

    Kristophr,

Comparing the red/blue of WY to FL (or any other state) is really more a function of the white/black thing than red/blue, isn’t it?

And with the lowest and sparsest population (lower than medium-size cities), it may appeal to the hermit and outdoorsman in me, but is a pretty meaningless outlier in terms of political comparison.

  15. Jake Says:

Not getting the “change states” thing. Won’t find a redder one right now, and “we” literally wrote the book on CCW and SYG.

That may be true, but FL is still a bad place for him to be. Nearly every prosecutor and cop in the state is out to score political points by getting him, and – just like the original Martin case – the actual facts don’t really matter.

  16. JTC Says:

“Nearly every prosecutor and cop in the state is out to score political points by getting him”

On the contrary, most cops here backed him privately, and most prosecutors were/are embarrassed by the malfeasance exhibited by the one in the case and enraged by the political interference of the feds.

And you missed my reference to the reasons changing states would be futile anyway:

“journalists”, entertainers, rabble-rousers and agitators”…GZ can’t escape their spotlight and thirst for attention and revenge. It is they, not cops and prosecutors, who will eventually drive him crazy or to his grave. But yes, the crazy could put him back in a courtroom where the PC pressure would be on to put him away…and that would be true wherever he is.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
