Terror in Paris

A bunch of religious zealots decided to kill people in a country where citizens are kept defenseless. They’re killing people over offensive cartoons. That’s like the ultimate childish temper tantrum there.

Despite France’s restrictive gun laws, these fanatics managed to get some Kalashnikovs and a rocket launcher.

Lessons learned.

And, yes, it can happen here.

If the person filming (warning graphic) this had a rifle instead of a camera, there may be a few less terrorists on the planet.

    Aux ARMES citoyens…
Also, the whole “qu’un sang impur abreuve nos sillions” thing might get literal now.

  4. Gerry Says:

I was thinking if I had one of those unreliable M-4 were the video was shot, the fight would have been over pretty quickly.

“If the person filming (warning graphic) this had a rifle instead of a camera, there may be a few less terrorists on the planet.”

If you all remember the attack in Mumbai and the photos taken of the attack in the train station, the photographer said something pretty much the same:
    “I wish I’d had a gun, not a camera.”

Aux armes citoyens! Formez vos bataillons! Marchons Marchons! Qu’un Sang Impur! Abbreuve La Sillons!

Sounds like a good start! Vive LaPen!

Sooner or later a bunch of people in France are going to remember Charles the Hammer, and decide he had the right idea.

Going to get real nasty when that day arrives

What d we think the distance is, 30 yards or so? I’d have given it a shot with my K31. A little Swiss engineering to equalize things. Or even my .45 Longslide if nothing else was available.

  9. Paul Kisling Says:

A 460 rowland would also work.

A typical service caliber pistol, in the right hands, could be quite effective at 30 yards, and for that matter a 22LR would certainly be better than nothing. I believe that if something like that happened in Idaho, or most any place in the U.S. outside the Blue Cities or our still unarmed military bases, it would be over very quickly.

It was reported that the first cop at the scene were unarmed and had to flee. I’d laugh, except for the fact that it is so sickeningly predictable, and I’d say that since the French have been asking for this, they deserve it, except for the fact that they have no clue and wouldn’t learn from it, and they are at the same time encouraging and empowering our enemies.

The enemy knows its targets, and will select them, and its tactics, accordingly. They’d attack Idaho, not with rifles in hand, but with germs, chemicals, crude raliological devices, economic tricks, and/or with the more common, slow rot from within that we’re seeing all around us. In that latter sense we’re already under attack, and we’re not shooting back– See how that works? They know what they’re doing.

So folks.. if you pack a J frame .38 or .380 pocket gun, time to upgrade. And keep a rifle nearby if you can.

Sooner or later it WILL happen here, most likely in the eastern states where gun control keeps the terrorist safe from civilian intervention.

  12. JKB Says:

Three police rushed to the scene on bikes but had to leave when they discovered the murders had guns as the police had none. So they pedaled away as another unarmed police officer guarding the magazine’s officer was executed in the street.

Reminds me of the British cops who rushed to the scene of the soldier being butchered in the street and could only set up road blocks at the end of the street as they had no guns.

I say give the terrorists too many targets to hit. Put Mohammed cartoons on every front page of every print publication, on the internet page of every website, and on every empty wall needing some graffiti. Let a hundred blossoms bloom, so to speak.

Eventually the jihadists will realize their technique is backfiring badly and will cease their depredations.

Especially if they are taken down like the Red Bridage was a few decades back.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
