haha…bwahahahahaha! Hodgon’s world headquarters and the accompanying shooting range was a block south of my high school.

Grant-subsidized peace & love type opened a “daycare” one full mile from our indoor, basement, exhaust-filtered fifty-foot range, than learned what it was, and called the sheriff to ask when, not if, we’d be shut down now that little ones were breathing all that lead.
No court case thankfully (yes, deputies are members), but we had to run not walk to do some homework. And the site of the daycare? It was available because some DEA types had shut down a pill-shop there.
As general sources of mayhem, most people would rather live down the street from a range than a school.

That’s right down the road. We had many High school kids go through our (free!) San Jose outdoor and ROTC shooting course, and it’s way-more popular up here than down there in the Bay.
I wouldn’t say that all or even most of the students were getting excessively alarmed. It’s much more likely that some are trying to find-favor with teachers and administrators and getting whipped-up about it, and “protests” and “demonstrations” are the current acceptable means of expressing boot-and-butt licking.

My high school had a .22 rifle range in the basement.
