A new father in Florida was killed by a stray bullet that traveled more than 200 feet from a neighbor’s house and hit him in the back of the head.
It was a 9mm. And it was “accidentally” discharged.

Once, long ago when I was a teen, I heard a ricochet warble over my head. Nasty sound. Probably a 22, but I hit the ground and got behind something until it stopped.

Had a neighbor back in the ’70’s in rural Texas that came home to a hole in the wall and through a crib. People out spotlighting coyotes, they figured. Stupid has never been in short supply.
