Speaking of Obama and guns

Fred Lucas:

The president’s goal is to look for opportunities to act administratively, unilaterally using his executive authority to try to make our communities safer

  1. DocMerlin Says:

But communities are safer, they have become safer since good people started carrying guns.

  2. Bram Says:

So his goal is to look for something?

The goal of a Press Secretary is to spew nonsense and abuse the English language.

  3. Ancient Woodsman Says:

“If public opinion does not demand change in Congress, it will not change,” Obama said. “We don’t have enough tools right now to make as big a dent as we need to.”

Obama went on to say, “Now it’s hard to get even the most minor legislation passed…”

There isn’t a liberal in the land that will ever admit that the President just called them all “tools”. Although it is somewhat refreshing to see that he spoke the truth for once.

  4. Linoge Says:

Well, at least the White House has finally admitted what everyone already knew – Our Glorious President does not give a crap about Congress, and will go ahead and do whatever he wants.

  5. JTC Says:

    administrative unilateral executive authority

That there is a scary string of words anytime, but applied to Bobo? The mind boggles.

  6. nk Says:

After Heller, an executive order involving firearms signed by Obama is worth about as much as one signed by me. Actually, mine is worth more, because I can make my twelve-year old obey it.

  7. mikee Says:

So can we expect at some point in the future the dissolution of the F from BATFE by executive order, from a 2nd Amendment-supporting president, without any quibbles from Congress? And maybe an executive order allowing open carry in all federal controlled lands & buildings, and maybe suspension of background checks for concealed handgun licensees, etc., etc., etc.?

Now that we know what the rules are, I say we play by them, twice as hard as Obama is playing.

  8. Scott Says:

Good g_d but there are a lot of idiots over at the blaze.

But what is scary is most of them seem to be from “our side”.

How is it that people believe Sandy Hook didn’t happen?

Or that 9/11 was a Bush plot? Or that the Holocaust didn’t happen?

When I see a gun-owner (supposed anyway) claim one of those things didn’t happen I start to wonder if the anti-gun people actually may have a valid point.

  9. SayUncle Says:

Yeah, the no sandy hook conspiracy took shape after a lot of bad reporting by the press.

  10. Huck Says:

“Yeah, the no sandy hook conspiracy took shape after a lot of bad reporting by the press.”

You could’ve just said “reporting” by the press. The “bad” is inclusive these days.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
