From the not helpful department, pro gun activists tote their rifles around and head to a restaurant. The employees, understandably, freak out and hide in the freezer.
Update: Turns out, no one hid in the freezer.

There’s been a lot of hand waving over this, but all indications seem to point to the response as reported being fabricated and untrue.

Which shows the risks because the antis *will* Lie. And in cases like this their lie will sound plausible.
Why it’s good to not give them ammunition.
On a slight upside the activists took pictures of them with the staff and showed a lack of freakout and there was contact with the chain’s security head but…
How many people go into that detail? How many just take the headlines at face value?

Just because a thing is legal and Constitutional doesn’t mean it is advisable or smart.
In this case it gives free fodder for anti propaganda, but even if not, this kind of group action is negative-sum behavior, guaranteed to scare the blue people and piss off the po-po.
Forget “not helpful”, this shit is outright hurtful to the cause of universal understanding and acceptance of 2A rights…why would anyone on “our” side do that?

Why isn’t the story all about how NO ONE got excited, the employees were amused and had fun with it, and life went on as normal?
Sure, the anti-rights group involved managed to concoct a complete fabrication regarding the event, but since when is that new? They lie. They are lying liars. They have no choice, since reality is too far removed from their tiny fantasy world. We know this, so why pay attention to the lying liars?
Seriously….. the REAL story here is that carrying weapons was seen as no big deal by everyone BUT the lying liars.

Well, the problem is the FWPD police report still says they did hide. Grisham himself posted an email from the Sergeant saying they confirm that detail and do not retract…

Excuse me. I was unaware that anyone – anywhere – still believes anything the police say without independent confirmation. Especially when it’s a police “spokesperson”; like the President’s public affairs officer, their job is to lie to preserve the “integrity” of the police department above all else. Not to mention the fact that if they refuse to lie, it’s their personal job that won’t be preserved.
