Suppressors legal for hunting in AL

If that is so, why does the statute still read (per the article):
“It shall be unlawful to possess fully automatic firearms or silenced firearms while hunting any species of wildlife.”
“Unlawful to possess… silenced firearms while hunting any species of wildlife” is pretty clear to me: no suppressors.
Jeez, by the wording, you couldn’t even leave them at home, depending on the definition of “possess”, if you have one in your safe at home, you can’t go hunting.
The “or silenced firearms” portion was stricken so it’s: [s]or silenced firearms[/s]
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
