Government Gun Storage

If it goes through in VT, if you get convicted of domestic violence, the government will charge you to store it.

Worse than that, it is for an allegation/accusation, not a conviction.

If there is no alternative (anyone know of a business, perhaps a gun store or even pawn shop, with such an option?) allowed it should be defeated.

This is a strange change to the law, as doing something legal with your guns like storing them in another state or at a gun dealer or with friends apparently is not stopped by this change.

However, the obvious idea this law change is meant to legislate is that you possess your guns ONLY with the permission of the government, and the government can require you to turn guns in to local authorities under certain conditions.

This is a backwards interpretation of how gun rights work, as is to be expected from anti-rights bigots.

It’ll be like the very common car impound scam run by a depressingly large number of PDs. Impound car due to spurious traffic stop, build up fees quickly to exceed the value of the car, quietly auction car to cops or friends for a pittance.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
