How about if you back us — the people? Stop local governments when they act arbitrarily to make your law-abiding gun-owning constituents into criminals, for simply stepping across an invisible dotted line into some green space owned by the city? Your constituents can go armed right down the highway in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, but you would make that same Blount County hiker subject to arrest on the Greenway! Shame on you.

He also voted against the Beavers amendment to SB1701, which would have fixed the problems (including the risk of getting fired) in the Safe Commute law. Overbey has gotten the last vote from me he’ll ever see.
