Metcalf was retiring and could have published a nuanced view of the 2nd Amendment in Politico this month as a informed citizen. Instead, he spends his life in a gay bar, jumps up on a table and and bashes fags at closing time. I don’t think it was smart or effective.

The Gun control Debate was over, we won. He could have kept his Fudd mouth shut and said nothing. Instead he had to offer them hope, and yet another talking point they could grab onto.
