the shooting cycle

A look at public reactions toward a mass shooting. Of course, after just such a shooting, the press gets substantially every thing wrong and the real story unfolds later. And this:

I would add that if people were attuned to the causes of the overwhelming majority of gun deaths (guns and gangs, not mass shootings, with handguns, not rifles), the focus on gun control efforts would be very different. But ignorance redirects the focus to regulating law-abiding citizens with weapons seldom used in gun deaths.

But “gun deaths” is a fake term.

Murder is murder wither by rock or knife or gun.

Gun violence is the same way. A fake term to put attention on banning a particular object.

Next thing you know there will be ‘knife violence’ or maybe ‘fat deaths’ (those who are obese) and thus they will ban knives (as has been done in the U.K.) or banning fatty drinks (as was done in NYC.)

It’s not ignorance. The lust for power will make people say and do the stupidest things, making them appear ignorant. I refuse to give them the ignorance defense. This story is as old as the hills and it’s always driven by the same thing.

The Leftists focusing on rifles rather than handguns are the ones thinking longer range (no pun intended): whereas handguns are suited for personal defense, rifles are much more useful for resisting an out-of-control government.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
