If I had $12,000 to buy a gun, this would be probably third on my list.

Disney pricing model. After this very limited run, the design goes back in the Disney vault for another decade. Or so they would like you to think. Anyway, those later, more mudane purchases won’t come with the “wooden showcase box complete with a 3D printed metal plaque and signed certificate of authenticity.”

12 Gs?
Now I can see they will one day be collector items (and maybe instant ones at that) but when you BUY them at 12 grand and then have to SELL them, well not many collectors have 12+ Gs to buy them!

Geez, for that kind of loot I want at least a M-18a1 57mm RCL gun.
Of course with 3D metal printing, that should be possible! heh heh heh

Paul, in 20 Years, 12gs will buy a coffee. I hope it would fetch more than that in the future.

“…not many collectors have 12+ Gs to buy them!”
and;
“…we will only manufacture 100 of these…”
See the connection? They won’t need many collectors to sell 100 units. What’s that; about 0.0000003% of the U.S. population?

So, ummm, how exactly does this differ from just buying a normal 1911 from any other manufacturer? (Other than price, of course)

Bryan,
If in 20 years 12 G’s buys coffee then I doubt many will have the money to buy one of these due to the country electing a dictator to solve their problems (as Germany did.)
