   It doesn’t take much to set them off. I got followed all the way home and questioned by the local cops about the pedal air gun I was transporting in the back of my pickup.

   Near Detroit, not in it. Inside the city limits, he’d have a hell of a prima facie defense. And, friends.

   I go around with a mounted “gun” all the time, but I guess mine isn’t big enough to cause panic.

   Since using compressed air to make loud bangs isn’t illegal (unless he violated a noise ordinance, I guess) and driving a vehicle like that around might result in a citation for not having current plates and registration, and no riot was caused, I suspect nothing more than the above and “disturbing the peace” will result, and the owner will drive (or have towed) his vehicle home shortly.

   There is a guy that I see on Clinton Hwy with an old Army Jeep and a Browning, look’s cool as hell,IMHO.

   Police say they arrested the driver and confiscated his vehicle. He was released Friday. Charges are pending

   Confiscation seems a bit much; but I think it might more accurately be “impounded as evidence for the trial”, which is not unfair.

   I would like to know what the charges are… disorderly conduct/disturbing the peace is all I can think of.

   Someone did not think clearly.

   (I mean, yeah, Fourth of July.

   But if you want to fire your plausibly accurate looking simulated machinegun on an armored car on the Fourth, you might want to tell the Police first.

   And maybe your neighbors.)

   My guess in the Liberal Police State that is “near” Detroit… They just wanted an excuse to confiscate the vehicle to give them time to figure out how to keep it. They’re funny that way.
