Please don’t fire @piersmorgan

There’s talk of firing him. Or letting his contract lapse. Says FTV:

One group that will likely be happy that CNN is pulling the plug on Morgan in prime time… the NRA.

No. Morgan, with his hysterical fear-mongering and, frankly, that he’s wrong so much, have probably helped the NRA quite a bit.

Yeah because the NRA is just struggling since Morgan took up the crusade against them.

I can’t believe that no one (that I am aware of, at least) has reminded Piers that we fought a war to protect freedoms that the Crown did not acknowledge.

Of course he takes offense to our freedoms.

He has spent a lifetime being inculcated with a system which doesn’t believe in the personal freedoms set forth in the Bill of Rights.

As Charlton Heston said shortly before his demise, the people in Europe know nothing about the freedoms that our military have died to protect.

We shouldn’t expect them to understand.

Maybe we can deport him now that he won’t have a job.

  4. Gerry Says:

If we have to keep him, can we make the English take Michael Bloomberg in trade?

  5. Samuel Suggs Says:

You’re grossly over estimating the intelligence of the sheep that watch CNN and his show seriously. They buy it hook line and sinker crook and barrel they don’t check they don’t care.

Maybe I heard wrong, but I was given to understand he was no longer welcome in Old Blighty. Some legal matter connected to his approach to prior employment. His bitchy little mouth may yet earn him all-expense-paid residence in the Full Sutton or Long Lartin gun-free zones. We yokels can only hope justice will prevail.

Piers, in a desperate bid to keep his job, made dancing in the blood of the Newtown massacre victims his full time occupation.

That he was incompetent in rabble rousing over the issue of firearms is no surprise. He already had demonstrated incompetence in every other subject covered in his interview show.

I had never heard of him before Newtown, and only saw his show afterwards because my new gym ran CNN on one of several TVs hung over the treadmill.

When your audience is only a few hundred thousand, out of 330,000,000 US citizens, it is only a matter of time before your show gets cancelled.

  8. Jon Thirkell Says:

    You can keep him.
