What is the best all around weapons lubricant?

The question is asked. I use motor oil. Caleb covered this a bit back.

I’d buy anything cheap, just so long as there’s an additive to make it smell like Hoppe’s No.9.

As cozy an aroma as a warm plate of cookies, I tellya.

Based on the lubricant supplied in the tres chic metal lubricant container that came with my Mosin-Nagant 91/30, what you want to use is the oil dregs drained from the siezed-up diesel engine of a Soviet military truck or tank during its annual service at the depot in Yakuskt.

That stuff was nasty. But the little container and its canvas pouch were worth keeping after I got the gunk out with lotsa mineral spirits. I’m not going to write what I did with the gunk. The EPA would probably not like it.

    Blood, obviously.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
