Well, part of breaking and entering means breaking, I guess

In Boulder, police can enter your home if you don’t lock the door.

It means breaking a “plane” or crossing a threshold. Not that something got broken to get in. But then, you probably know this.

It looks like the door was open not merely unlocked, and cops snoop. They’re trained to snoop, they’re paid to snoop, they like to snoop. Open door to cops, the only thing more attractive would be if it were a donut shop.

Remember when people could leave their doors unlocked and people would respect their privacy.

Guess they need one of these on the doorstep

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
