That’s some attack
Pit bull attacks news reporter, caught on film. Except, it looks like playing to me. Now, the woman who owned the dogs was derelict in not restraining them but that’s about as much an attack as Obama is a civil libertarian.

Wow…that reporter is lame. She can’t even run properly. If she was really scared she should have taken of her heels.

Context is important. The dog owner started by throwing a rock at the cameraman, then came out with a baseball bat and turned her dogs on the reporter. The dogs don’t look like they’re too serious about it, but if I was in heels and a skirt I don’t think I’d want to assume they were going to stay playful.
They bleep a lot out here, but in reports I’ve read, part of what she was yelling at the reporter would be considered racist if their roles were reversed.
Oh, and call me a neanderthal, but if the cameraman sees his female colleague being chased down the street by dogs and does nothing but keep filming, he needs to seriously reassess his priorities.

Without the rest of the context: the dogs were playing. Unfortunetly it’ll just get added to the list of “pit bull attacks” used to enforce crackdowns on the breed.
And although I can sympathise with the reporter not wanting to be jumped on if a dog comes at you in a way you deem aggressive do NOT run away, it just makes it worse.
Now in context, don’t get me started on the owner…..people like that shouldn’t own dogs…..

I agree, she should not have run away, that just kicks in most animals play/chase instinct. Stand your ground and dont be afraid to swat the animal. Makes pitbulls look bad for no real reason.
Now in this particular case, I think the dog owner needed to be arrested; throwing rocks and threatening people in public with bats and dogs is not OK.

Please tell me that was The Onion. First of all, those dogs are tiny (yes I’m biased since I own a mastiff).
Second, those dogs were clearly playing.
Third, when she runs away in high heels and flings the microphone – hilarious.

Those “playing” dogs were growling and one bit her on the arm. Which is why the authorities are looking for them to put them in quarantine after biting a human, owner has them stashed somewhere.
Reporter made it worse by not standing her ground.
Puppy wants to play rough? Feed it the microphone!
Playing like that would get them shot on my block.
Two ‘small’ pitbulls attacked a Phx cop out for a jog so bad he’ll never work the streets again. Why he didn’t have a gun on him is unknown.
