Mass stabbing

14 hurt in a mass stabbing in Texas. Good thing firearms are banned there!

We must clearly have a national conversation about knife control. And register knives. And background checks for kitchen implements. For the children

One young man there said that he, and others, wished they were allowed campus carry. The state senator of that district is one pushing for campus carry but it is being held up. Frustrated in TX… TS

The left says “but no one died!”

  3. Skip Says:

A well swung backpack would of stopped that shit.
Buncha pussies, obviously no jocks around close.

  4. NonPlacet Says:

Allow me to intercept the inevitable call to “ban Exacto knives!” right now. It isn’t the tool!

    We should ban STUDENTS!

  5. MichigammeDave Says:

I was talking with a friend about this yesterday, and we wondered if it was an “assault” boxcutter – you know, the kind where, when the blade gets dull, you break it off at the scored line and push the replacement edge up. This would make it unnecessary for the assailant to change blades so often, and these things need to be addressed NOW!

  6. wildbill Says:

Ban high capacity knives like Swiss Army knives! NOBODY needs more than three blades on their knife.

    @Adam
I am certainly not of the left and the list of guns restrictions that I support still totals zero; but this doucher is an actual data point that may be OK to discount, but hard to ignore completely.

    SSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

Dammit, man: We know the Left is capable of that kind of insanity. Or have you forgotten the calls for the restriction of pointed kitchen knives in the UK?

If they’re crazy enough to pull that kind of crap there, they are crazy enough to try it here. Lord knows, after years of public school indoctrination, most people would label that kind of restriction as “common sense”.

  9. bob smith Says:

Remember those dummy scissors in kindergarten with the round tips? All knives should have round tips just as riffles should not have those scary flash hiders.

  10. Kristophr Says:

Skip: That was exactly what happened.

The instant he was tackled by a student, he did what all active killers do, and crumpled up into a little ball of fail.

  11. Dewight Says:

Was he a member of the Knife Makers Guild? Did he subscribe to Blade Smith? How many whet stones were in his home? Did he have an arsenal that included chefs knives, butcher knives, boning knives, paring knives, and steak knives? Did his knife have fullers, blood grooves, serrated edges, finger guards and other features of an assault knife?

  12. Mr Evilwrench Says:

Doesn’t seem he was going for kills. Unless you’re stupid, you don’t stab someone in the face and expect them to die. He was just being a dick. If you have a knife and want to kill people, it’s easy and hella quieter than with a gun. Hit & run, he could’ve had 50 dead by the time people were realizing there was something wrong with the first few.

  13. Andrew Says:

Well, I guess this rule worked like a charm, too:

    “II.F.1.02 Firearms/Weapons – Prohibited

No person shall be permitted to interfere with the normal activities, the normal occupancy or the normal use of any building or portion of campus of any school by exhibiting or using or threatening to exhibit or use a firearm of weapon.”

If I wanted to live in England I would move there. I don’t so I won’t. Now if we could get all these banners and PSHers and their ilk to move there where the laws they want here are already in place then we could all be happy!

  15. Rob Crawford Says:

You know who carries an X-acto at a college? Art students.

    BAN ART STUDENTS!

  16. Sid Says:

We are going to starve to death when knives are banned. I have a 9 fingered friend who is an experienced Hibachi chef and he is worried about losing his job.

  17. Charles N. Steele Says:

Oftentimes people in the U.S. talk about “knife control” as if it is a reductio ad absurdum argument against gun control. I suggest they first look at the U.K. Go ahead & try to buy a hunting knife, lockblade folder,or a non-locking folder with a 3″ blade. There are serious proposals (i.e. draft laws) to ban kitchen knives or to require they have blunt tips. Caterers have been arrested for carrying kitchen knives in vehicles when driving to catered events.

Knife control is every bit as real (and crazy) as gun control.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
