Yeah, I’m thinking the books are out-of-date. That’s not to say that they will be in any rush to correct the error.
True story: In the mid-1980s, when I was in junior high, I took a history class where the textbook ended in 1971. As far as the book was concerned, Vietnam was the centerpiece of American life, and we were still sending men to the moon.
