It’s simple. There was no ammo at Walmart, when you stopped by after work, because it was bought up by all the customers who were drinking coffee in the Walmart parking lot at 6:45 this morning waiting for the doors to open.
Though, I was able to buy the last box of .45 around 11:30 today.
Another Walmart near me had 9mm on the shelf, so I bought two boxes, even though I don’t own a 9mm pistol. Does that make me a douche?

Ok gun companies will not sell guns to NYPD.. so why not get ammo companies to NOT SELL TO THE DHS?

Bruce nailed it. Its not the DHS. Check Armslist sometime. Lots of Walmart ammo on there at double the price. The last few gun shows have been the same way.
Check out all the Bushmaster Carbon 15’s and DPMS Oracles that are “NIB never shot”. Those are the guns that were bought at Walmart this morning along with the ammo.
