True. They require us to be civil while they move forward with using government as a tool with which to rape our rights. Here in NY, the Albany Times-Union insisted on civility in the comments on a blog on guns. Then our rapist governor pushed through the rape of our Second Amendment rights overnight. Not very civil of him. One state official recently characterized the widespread anger over the new law as mere “angst”, yet it’s more than just deep anxiety – we are pissed the fuck off! There comes a time for civility to end, and that time has come. Our civility has been construed as acquiescence, and our mild-mannered opposition has been laughed at, and called acceptance. That needs to end. So, is it time to shed blood? Not by me; I’m too civil.
