Crushing information markets

Shutting down a website that allows betting on outcomes. Seems Intrade.com ran afoul of the law and I wonder if that law was Frist’s bill banning poker but not horse betting? Via Oleg, who notes: The only way totalitarian governments can exist in the long run is by suppressing accurate information.
