The NYT can’t even get the facts right. The editorial says about the assault weapons ban: “That ban, which prohibits the manufacture of semiautomatic firearms for civilian use, was put in place in 1994 and expired in 2004.” ALL SEMI-AUTOs? Maybe in the NYT’s dreams.
