Are you having trouble getting them?

Only the lower receiver. Had a hard time finding a local dealer. Everything else was easily available.

  2. Mr Evilwrench Says:

Saw some noise on my local forum about BCG scarcity, and yeah, at the last show I had to scrounge for one.

  3. Roger Says:

I’ve been building my first .223 AR for several months. I ordered the custom lower from York Arms & was quoted 5 weeks for custom or 2 weeks for standard. They shipped the custom lower (which you have photos of) right at 5 weeks as promised. White oak was quoting 90 ~ 120 days for their 20″ match barrel. The upper came from Surplus ammo & arms right from stock as did the Model 1 free float handguard (very nice & far beyond its price point)
I ended up buying a Shilen 1:8, Wylde chamber, match barrel from Midway which came in stock while I was waiting for the White Oak barrel. The Shilen barrel came with a headspaced bolt.(& is in stock now at Midway) The trigger is a Geissele hi speed national match & was in stock with several dealers.(Expensive, usually in stock and VERY much worth the price)
Overall, the wait for parts was for the custom lower or the barrel, with high grade barrels being much more difficult to find. Kreigers are almost a year)
It will finally be about 6 months to get all the parts, about half the time was waiting for the money to be available and half for the parts. If things work properly the new rifle will be barking at targets on Thursday.

I’ve got money coming that I will be setting aside for an upper. All I want is a dissipator with a mid length gas system. I’d even take a mid length carbine and a clamp on sight and work from there but no one, NO ONE has them in stock and if they do they want $600-700 for one with a three month wait.

  5. HL Says:

Finding parts in stock has been challenging the last 6 months or so. If you want to find everything from one supplier to save on shipping costs, it gets even trickier.

  6. rightisright Says:

    Lowers = no problem.

Quality uppers and BCGs seem to be in short supply.

  7. John Richardson Says:

For me it has been trying to find a BCG in 6.8 SPC II. Virtually every place I look says “out of stock”. I picked up the upper from Palmetto State Armory for under $300 but now I have to find the BCG to go with it.

  8. wildbill Says:

BCGs. I could use two for current builds. Can’t find them in stock right now.

That was my nose spray kicking in. JSYN.

  11. aeronathan Says:

Had a hard time finding a BCG for my new build. Finally found a bravo company one though…

  12. JD Rush Says:

I pieced my 6.8 BCG for my Palmetto upper together from parts. Carrier from the local gun show, Armalite guts, and Midway has 6.8 bolts in stock. I wanted a Daniel Defense or LMT, but they always seem to be out of stock.

  13. Pop N Fresh Says:

+1 on lowers and their parts have been easier to get than upper parts

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
