GunsAmerica confused on safeties

  1. Kristophr Says:

Gunsamerica is just an guns only ebay clone.

The person who started it was primarily a businessman. This blog is a new thing, and it looks like they hired people for writing skills first, and knowledge second.

  2. markofafreeman Says:

Isn’t this the same GunsAmerica that whined about all those dirty bloggers getting access to big gun vendor events and to new products to review even if they only have 3 readers and have put barely a penny into the usual investment of big time media operations?

Though clumsily stated, I was almost inclined to at least understand their dismay…spending all that money to become an Authorized Journalist, and all.

It’s hell for buggy whip vendors when buggy whips go out of style, you know.

With this latest crap, screw ’em.

  3. Jerry Says:

Thumb safeties are not buggy whips. They can keep boolits out of your glutious maximus. All you have to do, is use them.

  4. Mr Evilwrench Says:

I’ll keep the boolits out of my own gluteus maximus, thank you, no machines are necessary. Yes, I carry a 1911 with the safety off.

  5. markofafreeman Says:

@Jerry – Not at all what I meant by the buggy whip analogy. I was referring to new media vs. dinosaur media.

I carry a 1911, so I don’t have a negative opinion of manual safeties at all.

@Mr. Evelwrench – Yikes. 1911 with the safety off? Well, okay, as long as its not deep concealment like my SmartCarry. The few times the safety has snicked off on me in my OWB hip holster it hasn’t really worried me at all. The SmartCarry, however…*cringe*.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
