Having never heard of the wayback machine or archiver, a judge demands twitter turn over tweets. Ok.

You could make an argument that the secondary sources (wayback machine, google cache, etc) are hearsay, legally speaking. Also, now that Twitter is fighting the disclosure order tooth and nail.

Ya know, the sad part about this is that every tweet since the inception of twitter is already archived at the Library of Congress: http://blogs.loc.gov/loc/2010/04/how-tweet-it-is-library-acquires-entire-twitter-archive/
Guess our Government just has too many resources, and they forgot about this one.
