I had an RG. I turned it into a “gun buyback” and got $50 for it.

Nothing wrong with cheap guns.. Everyone should be armed, but not everyone can afford it.

That RG .22Short revolver looks like a cheap tin and plastic toy pistol.

I once owned a Lorcin .380. You could squirrel hunt with it. It was ‘Minuit of french fry box’ accurate at 25 yards. A cheap gun is just as deadly as an expensive one. It’s the, ahem, operator of said device. That is the thing to worry about.

    Interesting read.

I wonder if the local sample can be applied more generally. If so, the low percentage of fully functional firearms is notable.

That so many firearms were not functional should not surprise me. Most criminal use of firearms are for purposes other than murder, so even a non-functional firearm is adequate to the criminal task.

When you say, “One of those cheap POS’s is mine…” you are referring to the handguns, right? Right?

Now I understand how all those “hard” gangsta rappers can have so many gunshot scars, but still walk among the living. It’s not that their tough, it’s that their enemies are mostly dumbasses.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
