The best show currently on American TV isn’t on TV and isn’t American

I’ve caught the first couple of episodes of Lilyhammer. It’s good. Sure, there’s some Americans involved in the production of it but the credits feature a lot of names with the letter Ø. And it was produced by Netflix as their first show. Not sure how they’d make money doing that/

It’s funny to me that the guy has many issues with near socialist government bureaucrats and complains about it. And he’s supposed to be from New York. The social interactions are amusing too. Highly recommended.

And it’s only on NetFlix.

I watched the first (I think) four episodes. Interesting. Different. But it just didn’t pull me in.

Same here. It was interesting, but I couldn’t relate to an obvious psychopath, so I lost interest after a few episodes.

    Love this show! 🙂

I’ve watched the first season and I enjoyed it.

Better than JUSTIFIED? Color me skeptical. (Though with that show between seasons, I guess you could technically argue that it’s not currently on…)

I watched the first season. I’d give it a 6 out of 10. There was some predicable Sopranos carry-over (or boilerplate modern mob) stuff. But it was better than attempting to suffer through any “reality” program.

    The letter zero?

I liked it. Waiting on the second season.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
