Glad someone else noticed

A recurring theme here is how all these terrorist plots the authorities are uncovering and saving us from would never have been hatched were it not for the authorities prodding them along while under cover. Rolling Stone noticed too.

Low hanging fruit for propaganda purposes; this way they can say they really are necessary.
Going after a group that is actually competent would be more difficult and dangerous to the agents.
It’s all about making a show to validate their budget and existence.

  2. Rivrdog Says:

Precisely! Given a population of say, 5 million Muslim converts here in the US of A, how hard is it to believe that say, 10% or, 50,000 of them are supportive of Jihad? Out of those 50K jihadi-leaners, say 10% or 5,000 would actually perform Jihad, and can be talked into it?

Now, big picture: are we going to “ethnically cleanse” our population of all 5K Jihadis? Could we control their violent urges any other way?

Big Question: what does the occasional bagging of one or five of these jihadis do to the rest of the population of them? The answer is zip, nada, nothing, rien.

It’s a sad state of affairs when a music magazine holds the standard for journalism. That’s not a judgement against Rolling Stone, they do great work. It’s an indictment against what is supposed to be the press but what has turned into one giant shill for the .gov that ceaselessly plays courtroom footage of Casey Anthony but won’t talk about how Obama and Bush hired the same people to rape our financial system.

  4. Ron W Says:

    Right, Rivrdog!

And why are they here? Oh, they were allowed to come and even brought here even though we’re told we’re in a “war on terrorism.” And with no enemy named in this “war”, the Patriot Act and DHS we’re all the enemy.

I think part of the reason that article got written was as cover for Occupy. “Look how unfairly they got treated. Oh, and gee, this never, ever happens to white supremacy groups ever. RACIST!”

I’m glad RS is noticing the civil rights abuses, but they’re definitely viewing it through their own political biases.

  6. comatus Says:

Bomba, that hasn’t been a music magazine since 1974. But I agree, they certainly do hold the standard for “journalism,” aka talkin’ ’bout my g-g-g…

  7. Tarrou Says:

Riiiight, so according to the geniuses at RS, a neo-nazi plotting to use a sign as a club is the same as a lefty anarchist plotting to blow up a crowded bridge. That piece was awful, and only the fact that entrapment is actually a problem saves it from total worthlessness. You can just see the twitch……”but every time they catch terrorists, its muslims or lefties!!!!!1111one”. We certainly need to keep an eye on entrapment, I just wish I didn’t have to read Rolling Stone’s partisan hackery to do it.

Rolling Stone is about as welcome in my house as Cosmopolitan, so there is little to anything about it that I take seriously–much like our government, and in particular, our farce of farces that is known as the Department of Homeland Security.

I’m an ardent and firm believer that the full and complete exercise and protection of our Bill of Rights is THE most effective “homeland security” this nation can have. . . or needs.
