Quitting money! Being homeless by choice to avoid the capitalist system. Odd that, by default, it can be illegal to live without money.

I think this guy is being lionized a bit more than he should be.
First and foremost, I have nothing but respect for him if he wishes to lead a life of abject poverty. I’m like that, I want people to live how they want to live even if it’s not the way I would. The neat thing about this guy is there’s no way he can force his lifestyle on anyone else as that would require owning weaponry beyond a stick. He can only use logic and reason to guide people toward his lifestyle, or just be used as an example of how we can live without certain things.
However, he’s a leech. He lives off the refuse of others, so it’s not like he’s harming anyone, but even his tin can stoves, discarded trash bag beds, and the very clothing he wears comes from a society that he claims to disown. Capital != cash. And yes, he’s perfectly happy if people take the items in the caves where he sleeps, and I fully support his right to not own anything. Not my bag of tapioca, but to each his own.
However, he survives because of society. And his view on people taking his stuff would change quickly if he was making it all from the land itself rather than digging it out of trash cans and when economics kicks in and there are more people taking his food than he can replenish his stocks.

Yeah, it’ll be Fun to see this guy have to deal with the Hospital if he needs an Operation. Just another Eco-Bum living off the Tax Payer who PAYS for that Federal Park Land he’s Squatting on. Sod him and his Sympathizers.

Why odd? Living without money means living without the government. Can’t have that.
I fully expect that the feds will try to lock this guy up. He isn’t applying for food stamps. He isn’t on assistance. He thinks he can get by without the government. He must be crazy and we must show him the error of his ways, or protect him from himself or something.
