It’s like they’re trying to make it difficult

MILLER: Why I still haven’t bought a gun in D.C.

Amazing the hoops she’s had to jump through. Here, in America, I go to the gun store, give them a license for a NICS check, and hand them my cash. And the gun is mine.

Or Option B (in Ohio,at least): Go to Gun Show, find nice used Firearm at the “Not a Dealer” table or someone walking down the Aisles, haggle, make a deal, hand over Cash, shake hands, take said Gun Home. Some of them will ask for I.D., but so does a Motel Chain.

  2. Hartley Says:

Or, option C, show your license and CCW card and skip the NICS check entirely (works here in AZ, anyway).

You can buy at the “not a dealer” tables here, too (or via the classifieds) but lots of folks who sell guns privately here asking for good ID with all the entrapment stories going around..

My brother has a two tone Sig in .45ACP. Now I can tell him his gun’s color scheme is the choice of female journalists in our nation’s capitol. Heh.

  4. Jeffrey H Says:

I go with Option C and give them my CHL in Texas and I don’t have to do a NICS. Makes buying guns a very fast and painless process.

She’s into this for hundreds of dollars and multiple trips outside the district and multiple trips to police headquarters and that’s just dandy with the current administration and the Brady bunch yet requiring someone to simply take the time to get a free state ID to vote is an unconscionable infringement on their rights and racist to boot deserving of DOJ intervention.

    Dude. Punctuation, man, punctuation.

  7. Matthew Carberry Says:

    @Jake

You are correct. Though I think I could have gotten away with just a semi-colon after bunch and a comma after boot. 😉

The submit button is so final sometimes…

  8. Jake Says:

Speaking of the submit button being final, I actually meant to put a smiley behind that comment.

    Go figure. 🙂

“…I go to the gun store, give them a license for a NICS check…”

Different degrees of the same thing. Don’t brag too much about it.

  10. Bobby Says:

An ID and Backround check? How Facist.

Maybe, one day we here in NY will be as free as you guys. And Maybe, one day, you guys will be free like Americans are supposed to be.

  11. Skip Says:

In Kali we gotta wait 10 days. But even here it’s all done at the gun shop.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
