Way for the officer to be more noticeable, and therefor less likely nailed by a car, without having to wear a bright lime vest with a reflective “POLICE” written across it? That’d be my guess.

Hey the Pilgrim in the photo is carrying a blunderbuss. I think that’s illegal in Clark County… unless its a police issued blunderbuss.

For a number of years now the Orange County (Florida) Sheriff’s Office has set up manned radar on a tripod in the median of major thoroughfares, operated by deputies disguised as Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, St. Patrick’s Day gnomes, etc. Located somewhere on their non-uniform disguise is their badge, certainly not visible from any of the traffic lanes.

When pressed as to why uniformed deputies aren’t manning the radar, they respond with “we’re undercover operatives.”

Revenue collection by fraud is revenue collection by fraud, wherever it’s done. Why should Las Vegas cops be any less corrupt than Florida’s?

Lieutenant Jim Dangle back on the beat.

  5. NAME REDACTED Says:

because its more fun that not having a costume.

  6. Joe in reno Says:

It’s Vegas Metro…What makes you think it was costume…..

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
