Actually, their problem is an excess of FN-FAL rifles… (just kidding).
If you hear anyone talking about how “Africa is awash in too many guns” please remind them of the hundred thousand plus Rwandans murdered with machetes.

I would argue that Africa doesn’t have enough guns. Much of the take food from Christian villages until they starve or convert genocide might be alleviated with a few donated crates of Mosins and a few spam cans of ammo, but that would be illegal arms trafficking according to the UN.
Instead villagers are trying to stand off good old fashioned rape and pillage gangs with shotguns homemade out of whatever pipe is handy.

Jeez, you want to destroy an AK47, just take a sledgehammer to the receiver. Sell a pair of cufflinks for 35 kilobux and you can buy about 1000 AKs over there, last I heard. With inflation, say 500. Bit more than 100. If you can make a living being an asshole, good on ya, I guess.
