Jose Guereña’s family files wrongful death suit

KVOA:

Jose Guereña died May 5th, during a raid at his southwest side home, reportedly after he pointed a rifle at officers. The team fired 71-shots in all, nearly two dozen hit the former marine. Weeks later court documents tied Guereña to a drug trafficking ring; something the family’s attorney said isn’t true.

    Sometimes it is good to sue the mentally handicapped….

  2. Kevin Baker Says:

    To my knowledge, no one in the Guerena family has been arrested or charged in the investigation that prompted the no-knock raid that resulted in José’s death.

    @Kevin: I’m sure that’ll change now.

  4. Bubblehead Les Says:

    I was hoping that this would go to the courts.

  5. Kristopher Says:

    Right. An ethnic-hispanic veteran has an icon of the patron saint of soldiers in his home, therefor he must be a narco-thug and deserved what he got.

    The proper legal strategy here is Murum aries attigit.

  6. Kevin Baker Says:

    Guereñas’ crime was his brother was a scumbag. Apparently the penalty for that is death-by-cop.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
