Unsafe gun safety class
In DC’s effort to deter anyone who want to lawfully own a gun, they make taking the gun safety class unsafe:
As a woman facing the prospect of going alone to this class in neighboring states of Virginia or Maryland, I’d like to find someone who seems legit. The way I see it, I’m calling a strange man and saying, “I’m unarmed. I know you are armed. And yes, I’d like to meet you in a strange place.” Feeling safe is the reason I want the gun in the first place.

Having to take a class is a legitimate criticism but not the process of finding a class or instructor.Should be no different than looking for an auto mechanic or plumber.They both have tons of weapons at their disposal and with the plumber you invite him into your home.
You do your research try to get recommendations and pick one.The most danger you will be in is getting poor instruction.And if you are unarmed how do you plan to qualify?

She has to take the class just to
a firearm. That means she can’t buy a gun until she has the freaking license. Which means she will be unarmed when she goes to the class.
I’d imagine she will be using a pistol provided by the instructor.
