“The victim was able to reach out to family members and call police.” In other words she had her cellphone with her. But notice who she apparently called first.

“During Maxey’s arrest, police recovered a small retractable knife blade from his home.” Is this a switchblade, a common folder jackknife, or some utility cutter with a razor blade? And where’s the handle for it, whatever it is?

Sometimes I want to hurt the reportologists, and other times I just want to send them back to grammar school to learn to write.

BTW, it’s nice to know that nowadays if a girl does not wantbto talk with you the proper resp[onse is to stab her in the hand. Back when I was young we would have done something much more terrible, like sulk in a corner.

It’s a shame that these people think the answer to these violent types of crimes is more rallies and protests. If she had been carrying or with someone who was this might not have happened.
