Rule 2

AZ senator likes her pink Ruger and shows it off to a reporter. By pointing it at him.

Not helping.

Jesus and Jeff Cooper Wept! And these are the people on our side? She needs to apologize publicly for rampant idiocy and sign herself up for a safety class.Somehow I don’t think her father would have taught her rule three and ignored 2 and 4!

This is one of those situations where pro-rights folks need to stand up and vocally support charges being filed against this person. And toss in immediate resignation, as a lesson to others.

When my governor, Rick Perry, was out jogging and shot a coyote that was acting rabid, he did not subsequently point the Ruger .380 he used at the reporters who asked him about it.

I defended Tex Grebner on various points after he made a video describing and analyzing his negligent discharge, in which he shot himself, and for which he took complete responsibility.

Assuming the account is true (and, let’s face it folks, we do not have video, and we are talking about a Huffingpost reporter here) I have no defense for Lori Klein, I don’t care what letter she has after her name, nor do I care about her claimed “support” for gun rights.

Not only is she too careless to have a gun, she’s too arrogant to hold her office.

Wanna talk about making us look bad? Look at Lori, point and mock.

Whatever she’s done legislatively, she’s pretty well wiped her reputation with me as a gun owner.

Mr. Grebner made a proper act of contrition for his ND. What will Lori do for her deliberate breaking of the rules?

Oh, right: deny it happened, and stop giving interviews on the subject. Well, OK then. Nevermind.

Pointed it at a reporter? I don’t see the problem…

  5. Lyle Says:

Not so fast. If the story were true (She denies it) then we’d be treated to the original recording – not someone’s recollection of what happened. Anyone else notice that?

And forgive me (once again) if I don’t join in with the freak-out fest, even if the story is true and we’re strangely denied the original recording. You can’t visit a gun show, for example, for ten minutes without being covered by at least one muzzle. You’re in vastly greater danger while driving to see a senator than while she’s showing you her heater. You take the dangers of the road with a yawn, and then go nuts over a DAO pistol with nothing touching the trigger.

I now doubt the reporter’s version of events. Which is more likely, that a reporter maneuvered a novice politician into a gotcha moment, or a person who has handled firearms safely for 30+ years did something as stupid as was reported?

  7. Ash Says:

Now she says it was ‘inadvertent’.

You guys remember when Daley pointed a bayonet equipped rifle at a reporter and threatened to shove it up said reporter’s posterior?

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
