“disrespect”

Back up called because officer perceives someone as showing disrespect. The officers show up and pepper-spray and beat a mentally-handicapped teenager with a speech impediment.

Speech impediment + mental handicap = 1st Degree Contempt of Cop.

Tar and feathers would be too much work.

    Respect is earned, not owed.

  3. 45er Says:

Makes me sick. They had multiple chances to do the right thing.

  4. Paul Says:

Since when is showing ‘respect’ for any official a compulsory deed?

Shades of His Majesty the King…

So they abuse a handicapped kid and the TSA searchs the diaper of a 90+ year old woman. All in the name of Law and Order.

This just chaps my (borderline-autistic) Cracker ass. I follow the LJ of an autistic gal in that town. She’s an engineering student at Wright State, and mostly keeps it together, unless she’s had a long tiring day of dealing with the Normals, and then sometimes has a hard time speaking properly. When I read about this, I immediately loaded her page to verify that she was OK.

As I wrote at Sipsey Street, it seems to me that cops, who claim to be defenders of the weak, act more like predators who preferentially prey on the weak.

    Are you kidding me?
The local Disability Law Center should get involved.
Some cops need to be run over..repeatedly.

They are the standing army that enforces the legislation that is passed on us. Like any standing army, they protect, but like a standing army, they will abuse as well… because they will be given opportunity and little repercussion if they do.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
