In Maryland it takes a lot of patience or a 4 digit donation to the Dems.
The low number in L.A. seems to indicate enen brib … er … donations wont work.

Getting a CCW in the LA area is a joke. I remember years back that Edward James Olmos was rejected for a CCW even after the Mexican Mafia put a price on his head because of the film he directed American Me. That was after some advisors on the film were murdered for participating in its production. Makes you wonder what is required to have the permit granted. Death threats from a powerful prison gang would seem to be valid…least you’d think.

In California we have what I call “Sean Penn Carry”.
That is, California has a ‘may issue’ CCW process whereby a noted violent hothead like Sean Penn can get a CCW permit but a downtrodden taxi-driver who has been robbed multiple times cannot!
