Art

In Fort Worth, a statue is held up because the artists, for historical accuracy, included guns.

  1. Standard Mischief Says:

This is a little weak, as it appears that the artist-for-hire clearly breached a contract.

It wouldn’t be the first time history was whitewashed either.

  2. Robert Says:

Yeah, they were specifically told not to include firearms. While I don’t agree with that, the city was the one paying for it so they get to make the call.

  3. RobertM Says:

As much as I’d prefer the statue as it is, I didn’t pay for it.

  4. Vote For David Says:

Whatever happened to “the customer is always right” jeez . . . what, because you’re an arteest you can blow off what you know a customer demands in the final product?

  5. Chas Says:

“…made it abundantly clear they didn’t want a pistol.”

Our jaded, effete and nadless ruling class in “action”. Guns are “too NRA” for them. GTFOOMC!

  6. Chas Says:

This is a culture war, because they have made it a culture war. Damn the city; damn them all to hell. I am on the side of the “arteest”, and that is where I stand.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
