Big Brother

The DOJ tells congress to make ISPs keep tabs on you.

And to make your phone company store data on you.

Next, a law requiring your car to include a GPS chip that stores everywhere you have ever been. I love how the DOJ says that the phone companies’ refusal to retain location data makes it hard for the cops to collect evidence. Since when do businesses have to worry about collecting evidence for the cops?

RE Making ISPs keep tabs: So the Obama Admin almost got caught doing illegal tracking with the tech assist from their buddies in Silicon Valley, and now that their Big Brother tactic was brought out into the Open, they want to make it legal? How about making it legal to sell guns to Mexican Drug Gangs? So what if a couple of Federal Agents got killed? Didn’t affect the Bosses back at HQ, right?

I’ll support this law if I get to track EVERYTHING that is coming into the Anointed One’s Blackberry on MY computer.

Ooops, hearing about another shooting on a Campus in the background. Gotta run.

So, if the phone companies have t keep records of our phones, does this mean that we, as customers, can use those records to hammer the USDOJ for failing to enforce the Do Not Call List laws?

BTW, just in case you’ve been off-planet for a while, the Do Not Call List law, which worked just fine under two Presidents before him, seems to have been sold down the river under this one.

Most of the unsolicited calls I’ve gotten – even though I’m on the Do Not Call List – have been for Worthy Causes. Pollsters. Charities. It’s still a pain in the tushie when I have to get to my phone from another room, only to find a silent robocaller.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
