Seems the gun used to kill Osama (a Sig p226) is popular now. But they couldn’t have used that. It’s a 9MM and all those tactical food court teams tell that the 9mm is only good for wounded kittens. And they just bounce off.

No confirmation on it being a P226. In fact, if it was DEVGRU, it could be almost anything. SEALs also have HK pistols including the new HK45. It could have been the P226, but like everything else regarding this mission, we don’t know.

Other sites around the net are speculating it was actually the HK416. I tend to believe that it was the HK. Why? Because ‘he sucks and we hate(d) him’

A .22 short is effective for head shots.. Anyhow at a lot of shooting ranges they tend to freak out when you start aiming for head shots.

Not a real big fan of sig pistols other than the 210. Have never been pleased with the sight radius of the newer models.

Well sure, the SEALS can kill with a regular old 9 mm sig. Because they were using super bullets – depleted enriched cold forged oil pressed milspec +++p+++ artificially intelligent bullets, with a charge made from unicorn blood.

They got the big one….I always wondered how OBL had NORAD ordered to stand down on 9-11? Must’ve had some connections somewhere along the COC?

Or maybe 9-11-01 was OBL’s lucky day, NORAD thought the reported planes were just a drill exercise which USA Today laterreported were running on that very day…even though the President said “no one had every thought of flying planes into buildings”

Seriously though, I would have been happier if they had emptied a magazine in him, just to be sure. Then pissed on him. Then poured gasoline on him and lit him up. Then chopped off his head and stuck it on a pike on the White House lawn for a few weeks as a warning.
But maybe that’s just me.

NORAD routinely long before 9-11 and afterward, jsut ahppened last week, readies orscrambles jets for planes straying off course frorelatively short periods of time…Just search “NORAD fighters, airliners”, but not on 9-11-01 since they were “running a drill” which had the scenario of running hi-jacked planes into buildings’ which President Bush later said, “no one had ever conceived”
